Discover internships was founded from a desire to bridge the gap between those who yearn for meaningful travel experiences and the communities that can benefit from their skills and talents. Our dedicated team has years of experience in creating purposeful programs that empower participants to explore their potential, immerse themselves in new cultures, and contribute to sustainable development initiatives worldwide. As part of our initiative, we stand in collaboration with NGOs, schools, hospitals, orphanages, HIV/AIDS clinics, women’s groups, and various social welfare organizations worldwide.

At Discover Internships, safety and support are at the heart of everything we do. We believe no other provider offers the safety and security to their volunteers and interns that we do. Every single one of our projects are thoroughly risk assessed and every member of our staff is vetted and trained to the highest standards. We devote time to carefully choose our host families in efforts to ensure security, comfort, and friendliness. We have equipped entire teams in every destination, so if any problems or illnesses were to arise, there’ll always be someone available to keep our participants safe and secure.

In ensuring that we keep our participants safe throughout their experience, we routinely conduct a thorough vulnerability and risk assessment for the destination, including an evaluation of local health, political, and security conditions. Also, we develop clear emergency response plans that include procedures for medical emergencies, natural disasters, and political instability as well as a crisis management plan for all our volunteers/ interns.  To address severe incidents or sudden changes in security or health conditions, We ensure that our safety plan includes procedures for evacuating participants if necessary.
